very good quality

Strengths: bright picture, excellent resolution

Weakness: no "hdmi" input

I have used the Epson S4 for about 2 months. I am using a proview graywolf projector screen. I was immediately impressed with bright picture and very good resolution this unit puts out.The 3 lcd panels produce a crisp picture with no "screendoor" effect. It starts up very quickly and is ready in seconds. You could buy more expensive projectors and not gain very much. This projector is a good choice...

Definitely Worth the Money

Strengths: Instant start and off, vivid color, USB, low price

Weakness: Better if there is an DVI input

For the price of $600, this projector is definitely worth the money. Although the indicated contrast ratio is relatively low (500:1), the color is still vivid even in a daylight surroundings, probably due to its 3LCD technique. We were also very impressed by its instant on/off capability. Considering its low price, it is probably a best choice for our home theatre. Although we do not connect our...

PowerLite S4 makes my life easier!

Strengths: lightweight, fast, relatively affordable

Weakness: None yet, but is this durable over the longterm?

I love this projector. I used to have to sign one out from work, and half the time it would be gone already. The projector is much less expensive when compared to others on the market, but it works just great. It starts up very quickly and projects clearly. I've used it with a variety of different computers too - just plug and project. It also turns on and off at lightspeed although I wonder if...

Exceed my expectation!!!

Strengths: Compact, portable (comes with soft case), fast start up (4sec), brightness is good. Great for movies.

Weakness: Not enough zoom size, screen size depends on distant.

This product is great for the price. An improvement from S3, more lumens and pics come out very clear. Very compact and transport with ease. Connection was easy and quick. Fast start up and ready for presentation in secs. The only thing I dislike about this product is the size of the screen depends on the distant of the S4. I'm planning to use this product mainly for movies at home and hooking up...

Epson PowerLite S4

Because it practically invented the budget projector category, we’ve always had some fondness for the old Epson PowerLite S1. Unfortunately, it was not until Epson’s third try at this market segment when it debuted the PowerLite S3 that the company finally perfected the SVGA budget projector. Now, with the PowerLite S4, Epson has refreshed the S3 by increasing the brightness, adding a few...
