If for some reason the card does however mysteriously die on you, it is backed by a lifetime warranty. This card features an enormous capacity of 12GB – 3 DVDs of pictures on a card not much larger than a few stamps! With the high speed (20MB/s) of this card, there isn’t a photography buff out there who would sneer their nose at this marvelous card.

Fast and reliable

Strengths: Large capacity, reliable

Weakness: none

Nothing to complain about Sandisk extreme III. Fast, reliable, never let you down. 12GB of capacity would cover an 1-3 day trip without any trouble. I could shoot RAW+jpg without worry about the capacity.

I ordered this card to use with a portable ebook (iRex Iliad). I have over 7GB of electronic documents, and I needed a large capacity memory card.

Before this card, I used an older CF card (Sandisk 2GB). I found this card is significantly faster than the old one. Like other Sandisk products, the quality of this card is outstanding. I am yet to experience any technical issue from this card.

The only downside of this card is the price ($149). The cost/size ratio is not as good as 4GB or 8GB cards, and the price will certainly drop in the near future. However, if you consider the convenience of the large size (no need for swapping multiple cards), this card is well worth the price.

excellent speed, good size

Strengths: good quality

Weakness: slight higher price

I bought this card for my 5d camera. the speed and quality are excellent. I don't need to change the card even when I go on an extended trip. With the rebate, it well worths every penny. I do recommend this to my friends!

Sandisk 12GB Extreme III Review....

Strengths: Fast Big size Sandisk quality

Weakness: Slightly higher price than other large size cards

Got this card for my Canon Digital Rebel XT. Works as good as any other card Ive tried, but its definitely faster (good test is to go to speedshot mode and count how many shots you can get before the camera makes you wait, and count how long it takes to write the shots to the card). Also noticeably faster than a "cheapie" card when pulling pics off from a card reader.
